Partner Profiles


Nigel Sheldrake - Managing Partner


Having qualified in 1993, Nigel joined the practice in 1995 and became a partner in 1996. Since then Nigel has enjoyed working with a wide range of clients covering various business sectors and sizes.


Nigel now has a wealth of experience to share with his portfolio of clients. He appreciates the importance of not only providing his clients with the information that they need but also assisting them in improving their own business skills and tax knowledge. He enjoys seeing hard working clients grow their business and helping them to achieve their goals.


Nigel lives in Colchester with his wife and two young children. His interests outside of work include football, cricket and golf (any sport really!!). He coaches his son's junior football team and is Treasurer of Braintree Cricket Club.

Andy Green - Partner


Andy qualified in 2000, having undertaken his training whilst at a Nationwide firm. Andy joined Richard Edwards Group in 2002 and became a partner in 2005.


Andy heads up our Corporate and Payroll departments and is also responsible for the practice HR. His portfolio of clients range from smaller family owned businesses to larger SME companies. Andy enjoys working closely with clients to achieve their business and personal goals.


Outside of work Andy enjoys travelling and participating in and watching all sports and has recently completed two London Marathons. Andy is currently a trustee and Treasurer of two local charities,The League of Friends of Halstead Hospital and the Halstead Community Centre Charitable Company.

James Mullane - Partner


Having joined the practice as a graduate trainee in 2002, James qualified in 2005 and was appointed a partner in 2013.


James has overall responsibility for audit, technical accounting and regulatory matters and manages a diverse portfolio of both audit and audit exempt companies. He has a keen interest in computers and has helped many clients utilise Excel to automate functions of their business and streamline their accounting processes.


Having grown up in Halstead, James still lives locally and outside of work he enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his young family.

Dan Profile

Dan Drysdale - Partner


Dan qualified as a Certified Chartered accountant in 2006 and has since become a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

He was appointed a Partner in the practice in September 2015


Dan manages the Business Services department in our Halstead office which looks after small and medium sized businesses. He has particular expertise in the selection, introduction and use of accounting systems and processes.


Outside of work Dan enjoys creative pursuits and is a very keen cook and artist
